Please find below a resource that could be useful for helping children practice correct letter formation at home. Proper letter formation is dependent on developmental readiness and fine motor ability. Practicing letter formation is an optional activity to do at home. However, if your child is not ready or finds it extremely difficult, please to not push this activity. It will only turn them off to writing - which we do not wish to do. ![]()
GWA needs your language skills! We are looking for volunteers to continue developing their home languages here at school. This could simply be reading a book to students. If you have extra time to spare, please fill out this Home Language Volunteer form. Information on the importance of home languages can be found in the article below. We really appreciate any time you can give. ![]()
We explored our sense of touch by engaging in a texture painting activity where we used paints with rice, sand, and washing up liquid. We spoke about how the different paints felt on our hands. We explored texture related vocabulary such as smooth, rough and bumpy. We produced beautiful colorful art pieces in the process. I used my sense of sight to explore different tools that change the way I see things. Thank you so much for attending parent-teacher conferences! While Ms. Jinky and I missed the children today, it was wonderful getting to have some individual time with each of the moms and dads. There was much to celebrate today; happy kids, happy families, many friendships, and a love of learning.
We will have no school Thursday, October 15th due to Islamic New Year. Classes will resume on Sunday October 18th. It will be a day 3, Library.

We used our 5 senses to explore the world around us. My classmates and I went on a field trip to Spinneys. We used our 5 senses to experience being in the supermarket and to explore its sounds, sights, scents, textures, and flavors. Please follow the instructions below to sign up for parent-teacher conferences. Looking forward to meeting with you all and discussing your child.
